‘FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH’

Swiftool Precision Engineering was founded in 1977 and specialised in the design and manufacture of injection moulds for the plastics industry, press tools, jigs and fixtures etc, for a variety of end users.

From the onset of January 1985 the present directors purchased the company and embarked upon a major change in direction to create a machining and specialist welding service to the Nuclear, Aerospace and Petro Chemical industries.

The company has held ISO 9001:2000 accreditation since 1986 (formerly BS5750) and employs a highly skilled workforce fully conversant with the exacting specifications and quality control systems required to satisfy our customer requirements.

The business re-located to Stanton Hill during November 1998 into larger premises to enable further growth and improve employee working conditions.

In April 2006 planning permission was granted to extend the factory by 5000 sq ft to include a larger machining facility and assembly/test area, this was completed during November 2006.

The company is now looking forward to further investment and expansion over the next few years.

Swiftool has specialised in the manufacture of precision components for over 30 years, supplying components to customers such as Rolls Royce Power Engineering PLC and Vetco Gray Controls Ltd.

We are a tier one supplier to Rolls Royce for the supply of components to support the submarine program and hold preferred supplier agreements with Vetco to provide machined component kits and sub assemblies to support their offshore oil projects.

We believe in developing a close working relationship with our customers and by agreeing long term contracts we are able to assist in the reduction of costs by continual improvement and investment.

We pride ourselves on the level of quality our products contain and the service we offer and look forward to exceeding the challenges and expectations that all our customer base has come to expect in an ever demanding market place

FABRICATION, ASSEMBLY, AND TESTING

We offer a precision fabrication service to our customers including machining and non destructive testing. We are in partnership with a fabrication company in Gloucester whereby we have a dedicated team of skilled welders and fabricators lead by a project manager who deal with the welding and fabricating of our components which are subsequently machined, inspected and tested at our Stanton Hill works.

We have a dedicated assembly facility with overhead crane of which we use to assemble and test our customers components, this includes load testing, pressure testing to 25000 PSI, and flushing to NAS 1638 class 6 using our specially designed flushing rig.
