ENGINEERING ESTIMATOR
WE HAVE A PERMANENT VACANCY FOR A FULL TIME ENGINEERING ESTIMATOR TO WORK IN OUR BUSY SALES DEPARTMENT.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ESTIMATING COMPONENT PARTS AND ASSEMBLIES MAINLY FOR THE OIL & GAS AND NUCLEAR INDUSTRIES. THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE COMMUNICATING WITH THE CUSTOMER, LOADING AND PRE PLANNING WORK ONTO OUR MRP SYSTEM, CALCULATING STEEL PRICES AND SUB CONTRACT PRICES, AND HELPING TO ACHIEVE THE MONTHLY SALES TARGET
YOU MUST HAVE HAD PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH MACHINING AND THE MACHINE TOOL PROCESS ESPECIALLY CNC TURNING AND CNC MILLING.
THE SALARY WILL DEPEND ON THE LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE BUT TYPICALLY IN THE REGION OF 25K PER ANNUM WITH PENSION AND SICK PAY.

CNC VMC SETTER OPERATORS.
CNC VMC Setter Operators.
CNC Turret Lathe Setter Operators.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Cell leader the CNC setter operators will be responsible for the set up and running of multi axis machines from single component to medium batch work ensuring the supply of quality products on time.
As a Setter Operator, you will:
· Assist in the running of other machines to produce a variety of components.
· Monitor work on a regular basis to determine if all specifications and tolerances are still being adhered to, modifications will be made where necessary so ISO programming experience will be beneficial.
· Control the levels of cutting chips in the machine at all times, ensuring the amount of coolant oil and lubrication oils are at optimum levels.
· Report Leaks, spills, hazards and machine maintenance issues immediately.
· Maintain a clean and Health and safety conscious working environment.
The ideal Setter Operator will hold the following skills and experiences: · Qualified to HNC/HND level, or equivalent, in a Precision Engineering discipline with experience of ISO controlled lathes or mills, however candidates with credible lathe or mill experience will be considered. · Experience in working within a manufacturing environment and familiarization with manual lifting and slinging techniques is also preferred. · Experience in ISO programming. · A methodical approach to work and good problem solving skills. · A good eye for detail and the capacity to manage their own workload. · Ensure that the relevant control systems are in place and adhered to and that both Quality and Health and Safety standards are maintained. · To be customer focused at all times. The candidate should demonstrate the following abilities: · The ability to plan and manage their own work load. · Be self-motivated demonstrating a “can do” attitude. · To be able to communicate with employees at all levels.
Engineering Estimator
We have a vacancy for a Engineering Estimator to work within a busy sales office. The roles involves heavy use of our MRP system progress plus in planning and calculating costs for piece parts and assemblies.
You will be responsible for submitting the tender, basic planning of the work, and holding internal contract review meetings. Ideally experience within the Oil & Gas market would be useful but not vital but experience within machining would be mandatory.
