High Growth
In August 2008 Swiftool was identified by the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) as a company exhibiting high growth. As part of only 60 east midland’s companies we enrolled on the ‘High Growth’ programme, the aim of which was to assist companies in forming a clear plan for growth and providing invaluable support including a growth coach and funding towards training. March 2010 will see Swiftool complete the second phase of this support which would not have been possible without the help of the Manufacturing Advisors Service (MAS), PERA, emda, and Peter Smith our growth coach. The programme allowed us to identify strengths and weakness within the company using various tools including S.M.A.R.T and SWOT to name but a few, we identified a clear strategy which included a successful grant application for our proposed new premises and investment, a strengthening of the financial management system, and a need to focus on creating a strong sales and estimating team.
