Swiftool offer a full manufacturing service which includes :

NON DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION

Including Ultrasonic, Radiographic, PMI testing, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, and Visual examination.

MECHANICAL TESTING

Including destructive testing and hardness testing.

SPECIALIST MATERIAL SOURCING

Due to the large amount of specialist material we purchase for our customers we have been able to negotiate terms with a number of high quality mills within Europe and can provide material from starting stock through to specialist forging, heat treatment, and final product certification.

MACHINING

We have a comprehensive machine shop including the very latest machine tools and associated control systems. We employ only the very best engineers to ensure every attention to detail is achieved, for a full list of equipment please refer to the capacity section.

WELDING

We offer a precision fabrication service to our customers including machining and non destructive testing. We are in partnership with a fabrication company in Gloucester where we have a dedicated team of skilled welders and fabricators lead by a project manager who deals with the welding and fabricating of our components which are subsequently machined, inspected and tested at our main works.

COATING/PLATING

We regularly transport component parts to specialist coating companies including wet paint finishes, Silver Plating, Nickel Plating, Chrome Plating, and Xylan coating. We use our own transportation and ensure all items are packaged to a very high standard to prevent damage and subsequent on costs and delays.

ASSEMBLY/TESTING/CLEANING

We have a dedicated assembly facility with overhead cranes and suitably qualified personal used to working with complex assemblies and procedures. Our grade ‘B’ clean room is Rolls Royce approved and controlled through our MOD package designer.

The company can load test to 25 tonnes, pressure test to 25,000 PSI, and flush to NAS 1638 class 6 using our specially designed flushing rig.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We project manage sub tier suppliers using our web based portal and through our quality department as well as being able to assist with design advice and cost reduction exercises.

Our aim is to take the hassle away from the customer and place the whole production process under one umbrella. This allows us to reduce our customer costs and above all control all aspects of the manufacturing process. We have the staff structure in place and a robust MRP system which allows us to keep track of each and every operation.
