Jan 2020: SPE are once again delighted to receive the 2020 Best Companies award in association with the Sunday Times.
The one star award once again signifies our commitment on our journey in ensuring the highest levels of engagement with our people. In our 2019 Best Companies employee survey, 92% of staff agree they make a valuable difference to the company and 80% of staff agree that their experience at SPE is valuable for their future. 94% of staff recognised that our company encourages charitable activities which is something we are very proud of. This result has been achieved during a period of expansion for the company and also the formation of other ventures.
“Be the Best You Can Be” (BBB) is the name of our internal Training and Development programme which has been running for the last three years. BBB ensures and encourages everyone in the company to access formal and informal learning, development and career progression opportunities. This is one tiny example of how SPE have committed to raising the standard of employee engagement and skills within the SME Precision Engineering sector and have many more exciting plans ahead to achieve this … watch this space !
