SPE  have an excellent opportunity for a CNC Programming Manager who is looking for a role where they have the opportunity to lead a team, really make a difference and join a company that is undergoing continued expansion and investment. This is a highly technical role which demands someone who passionately, naturally and habitually seeks to improve the status quo and enjoys solving complex engineering problems.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Programming department including planning and coordinating programming activities and advising other departments on best / smartest routing methodologies to exceed customer expectations and delivery schedules. This will include:
– Optimising productivity (with regards to new tooling & machining methods) to meet production KPI’s and help drive efficiencies in cost of quality across the business through Continuous Improvement activities.
– Providing professional leadership and direction to the programming team, including identifying training and development needs
-Liaising with other departments to clearly define capacity issues / opportunities in order to improve work flow throughout the factory.
-Identifying new ways of working, including the best and smartest use of all machinery / resources
-Driving continual improvement through our technology roadmap encompassing i4 and future smart factory initiatives
– Balancing multi dimensional technical challenges with piloting appropriate solutions and rolling out across a wide range of internal stakeholders
Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate previous offline programming experience for complex components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors taking components from cradle to grave through the machining process.
Sound understanding of Fanuc CNC controls, CAD-CAM software DelCAM / Feature CAM experience is preferable but other software packages may be considered Knowledge / experience of using Siemens / Unigraphics NX . Working knowledge / experience of using Vericut.
Previous project management / consultation or coordination of significant CI projects advantageous.
