- Salary: Starting salary of £11,154, increasing up to £23,000

Job Purpose:
- Our apprenticeship programme offers personalised learning in a structured environment whilst providing employer led Engineering qualifications
- The Level 3 Metal Fabricator Welding apprenticeship is designed for those seeking a career in manufacturing engineering and engineering construction sectors
- The apprentice will be responsible for carrying out metal fabrication and welding work using a range of metals at varying thicknesses
- Typical work of the apprentice includes metal fabrication work on precision parts used across the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Medical and Maritime sectors
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 4 GCSE’s at grade ‘C’ or ‘4’ or above, including Maths, English and Science, or the equivalent
- Capable IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Candidates must be able to travel to Huthwaite, Sutton in Ashfield on a daily basis
What the SPE ideal candidate looks like:
- Have an active interest, or some work experience within a Fabrication/ Manufacturing environment, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Nuclear / Defence, Motor Sport or aerospace sector
- Commitment and dedication to study on one of the industry’s most advanced apprenticeship schemes to gain a Level Three Apprenticeship Standard
- Have a proactive approach to learning and the ability to manage work and study
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to show initiative
- Ability to approach tasks methodically and have good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and focus on quality
